What is Hi Amira?


Hi Amira is an AI reader and translator that turns your text (and supported documents on paid plans) into natural-sounding audio. You can use standard voices (Google) or Premium voices where available.


Do I need an account?


Yes. You’ll need to create an account to access reading/translation features and manage your minutes and subscription.


What’s the difference between Google (Standard) and Premium voices?


Google (Standard) uses your Google minutes and supports everyday reading. Premium uses your Premium minutes and gives more human-like voices (where available) and enhanced features on paid plans.


How do minutes work?


You have separate minute buckets for Google TTS and Premium. Usage is deducted while reading.


What happens when Premium minutes run out?


Premium will switch off automatically and Hi Amira will continue using Google (Standard) minutes (if you have any). You can top up Premium minutes with an add-on if you’re on a paid plan.


Can I buy add-on Premium minutes?


Yes, paid plans can purchase add-on packs.


What happens to add-on minutes if I cancel or payment fails?


Add-on Premium minutes are paused if your subscription becomes inactive (cancelled/expired/payment failed). They become available again when you reactivate a paid plan.

How does Smart Reader works?


  • What Smart Reader does: explain, simplify, summarise, ask

  • Who gets access: paid plans only

  • How limits work: actions per plan

  • Listen to answer uses Google TTS minutes, not Smart Reader actions

  • that Smart Reader actions and TTS minutes are different allowances


Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?


Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period (no proration).


Will I get a refund if I downgrade mid-cycle?


No. To keep things simple and fair, Hi Amira does not do proration, partial refunds, or mid-cycle minute recalculations.


How do I cancel?


Use Manage / Cancel subscription from your Welcome page to open the billing portal.


What files can I upload?


Depending on your plan you can paste text and/or upload files like PDF/EPUB/DOCX.


What languages are supported?


Language support increases by plan. You can choose source and target languages in the app (with auto-detect available).


Is my text private?


Hi Amira processes text to provide the service. We don’t sell your data. Details are covered in Terms & Privacy.
